To configure Pocket_WOL (or any mobile Wake-on-LAN app) for instant remote booting, you must prepare your computer’s hardware, gather its network details, and configure the app to send a “Magic Packet”. Step 1: Enable Wake-on-LAN in your Computer’s BIOS/UEFI

Your computer must be capable of receiving a network signal even when turned off.

Restart your PC and repeatedly press the BIOS key (usually F2, F12, or Del) during boot. Navigate to the Power Management or Advanced tab.

Locate and Enable settings such as Wake-on-LAN, Power On by PCIe, or Wake on PME.

Disable any ultra-low power states like ErP Ready or Deep Sleep, as they cut power to the network port completely. Save your settings and boot into Windows. Step 2: Configure Windows Network Adapter & Power Settings

Windows must allow your network card to wake the motherboard when it receives the Magic Packet. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Network adapters, right-click your Ethernet controller (e.g., Intel or Realtek), and choose Properties.

Under the Power Management tab, check Allow this device to wake the computer and Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer.

Under the Advanced tab, ensure Wake on Magic Packet is set to Enabled.

Crucial: Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do, click Change settings that are currently unavailable, and uncheck Turn on fast startup (Fast Startup completely shuts down the network card, preventing WOL). Step 3: Gather Your Network Information

You need specific identifiers to target your exact computer.
